When Art
allows us to overcome
any limit.
Born from a shared, profound love for the "mother of all volcanoes," the TYME project (an acronym for Thank You Mother Etna) is a collaboration between Diego Cusumano and artist Paolo Troilo. Its aim is to make nature and its wildest, most fascinating territories accessible to all. The project consists of nine pieces of artwork on paper, created en plein air among the Alta Mora estates located on the slopes of Mount Etna. On November 21st, the works of art were auctioned in collaboration with Christie's in the Salone dei Tessuti in Milan, with proceeds going to Dynamo Camp, the first completely free Recreational Therapy camp for children and adolescents with serious and chronic illnesses. In addition to the nine paintings, it was possible to purchase, to contribute to the fundraising, 10 Alta Mora magnums hand-personalized by Paolo Troilo himself and a series of collector's bottles with fine-art printed labels reproducing the 9 works of art created by the artist on Mount Etna. The collector's bottles, whose wine comes from a century-old Nerello Mascalese vineyard, can still be purchased individually or in boxes of three made specifically for this purpose and in a limited edition, to continue to contribute to the fundraising.
